Christmas Fudge that Can't be Beat! - South OC Moms

I don’t know about you, but certain family traditions always remind me of Christmas. The first for me is making my Grandmother’s sugar cookie recipe and decorating them with all the frosting and sprinkles I could pile on and the second being my Grandmother’s fudge. Both of which my Mom and I still make today and now I get to make with my kids. My Grandmother’s fudge was always to die for. I remember finally asking her how to make this unreal fudge. Then she pulled out a can of Kraft Marshmallow Creme and said, well the recipe is right here on the back of the can. I thought it was sooo funny. All of those years I thought it was a secret family recipe, when in reality it was merely on the back of the can. I now take mine up a notch and either add festive sprinkles on top, chopped up peppermint or even some walnuts. Pick your pleasure my friends and enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 jar Kraft Marshmallow Creme
3 cups sugar
1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine
5 oz evaporated milk can
1 tsp vanilla
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Festive sprinkles, peppermint or walnuts to sprinkle on top

Steps:
1) Grease or line a 9 inch square pan foil
2) Combine Butter, Sugar and Milk into a large sauce pan
3) Bring to a full rolling boil on medium heat, while stirring constantly
4) Continue boiling for 4 min or until your candy thermometer reaches 234 degrees
5) Remove from heat
6) Gradually stir in remaining ingredients
7) Once fully combined pour mixture into pan
8) Sprinkle festive toppings on top before mixture starts to cool
9) Cool at room temperature and then cut into small squares

Cut up into small squares and enjoy all Christmas break long.
