Don’t miss out on Doheny’s most festive event of the year! Bring your family and friends to celebrate Halloween in a fun and safe environment with good ole fashioned spookiness, arts and crafts, a fun zone, and an array of educational booths. Rangers, Lifeguards and other volunteers all pitch in to make this a really fun evening, There is no charge for admission; however, a donation of one non-perishable per person is greatly appreciated. Halloween Kids Boo Cruise

Halloween Spooktacular & Moonlight Movies
October 26th, 3-9 pm
The City of Dana Point will be hosting spooky fun again this year. Activities from 3pm to 5:30pm include carnival games, crafts, cookie decorating, a costume parade and entertainment. Everything is FREE and includes prizes for best children’s costumes, treats for each child and popcorn, candy and hot chocolate during the movies.The Moonlight Movies begin at 5:30p with a special showing for the little ones of “Pooh’s Heffalump Halloween Movie” and at 7:00pm Steven Spielberg’s classic, frightening, 1982 “Poltergeist”.

Trunk or Treat

Dana Point Police Services is putting on a Trunk or Treat this year at Dana Point City Hall from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. There will be a kid’s costume contest, a BBQ dinner provided by the VFW, and it’s all free! Come to learn about the Dana Point Police Services as you trick or treat from trunk to trunk.

Yappy Howl-O-Ween

Yappy Howl-O-Ween is the chance for pups to strut their stuff in their favorite costume. A panel of judges will determine which canine will take home the prize in the costume categories of Dynamic Duo, Most Creative, Cute and Cuddly and, of course, Best in Show. First place prize in each category is a hand-painted dog bowl by Debby Carman of FauxPaw Productions. Donation to enter the costume contest is $10 per canine per category.

Halloween Terrifying 10K, 5K and Kids Run

The Halloween Terrifying 10K, 5K, and Kids Run is back at Salt Creek Beach! There will be costume contests, pumpkin decorating contest, a pumpkin patch, trick and treats aid stations, amazing views of the beach, and spooks, ghosts, and goblins along the course. All finishers receive a medal – even the kids!

Spooky Seas at the Ocean Institute
October 18th and 19th, from 6:00 to 9:00pm
Join the Ocean Institute for a night full of fun and fright. The haunted adventure begins aboard the Brig Pilgrim with ghost sailors, continues with a visit from a siren in the historic Boathouse, and ends in a Mad Scientist lab with hands on experiments! Excuse yourself from the ghostly gathering to enjoy hot cocoa, apple cider, and educational activities inside the Ocean Education Center. Activities in the Ocean Education Center are suitable for all ages. The Haunted Tour is suitable for those ages 8 and up. Tours start every 15 minutes from 6:00 pm to 8:45 pm; Last ticket sale is at 8:30 pm.

Resurrecting an event from years past, the Pageant’s backstage will transform into a haunted house with an artistic twist. Themed Raiders of the Lost Art, guests will follow the footsteps of legendary archaeologist and adventurer “Cincinnati Smith” on a perilous quest to recover treasures from exotic locales across the globe. The Festival of Arts grounds will be filled with Halloween-themed art activities, music, and other “spook-tacular” surprises.

Haunted Trails
October 17th, 18th & 19th, 6:30-10pm
Deep in the valley there is a special Crown, which is guarded by dragons and buried within the compound. The Knights of Temptation guard the castle walls, while thieves and treasure seekers search within the halls. Dare if you will to walk the Haunted Trails experiencing medieval life and all of its tales. When the sun sets, the trails will open, guides will escort groups of 10 guests through the halls and tents. This is a VERY SCARY event and not recommended for children under 8 years of age.

Kids Imagination Halloween Event

Invite your friends, put on your imagination wardrobe, and grab a seat for the show! Kids Imagination will be performing a Halloween show at the Laguna Niguel Library, full of song, education, and imagination! Children are encouraged to wear red, white, and black to match the Kids Imagine Nation team. Recommended for pre-school aged children. Haunted Skate Contest

Come celebrate Halloween with Laguna Niguel Skate Park at the Haunted Skate Contest! Skaters will enjoy a costume contest, food, giveaways, games, amazing prizes and much more. Skaters must have a liability waiver signed by a parent/guardian before entering the park. Prices increase Saturday, Oct. 26 to $20 for members/$30 for nonmembers. The haunted contest is free for spectators.

Kids Art Night
