This local Mom of 3 grew up here in South Orange County and loves getting her kids outside to enjoy all OC has to offer. Thankfully with her help, the traditional slumber party is no more. She is ready to level-up your child’s slumber party game with adorable tents, balloons, candy bars, movies and more. How long have you lived in OC?
Practically my whole life! I grew up in Anaheim Hills, moved to Huntington Beach, met my husband, and now in sunny San Clemente!
How many kids do you have and what are their ages?
3 amazing babies! Benji will be 5 in December, Bradley is 3, and Brynn is 21 months
What is your favorite family activity in South OC?
You can find us at the beach or the Dana Point Harbor! We love being outside as much as we can and getting pizza as a family. It’s always an adventure!
What is your favorite date night spot in Orange County?
We love to try new restaurants! Our favorite as of yet has to be Ciao Pasta in San Juan Capistrano! If there’s wine and pasta, we are there!
What did you do for work before you started Sparkle and Dreams?
I’m still currently a Registered Nurse. I work at 2 outpatient surgery centers as well as a MedSpa in Ladera Ranch as their IV/Injection Nurse!
Tell us about how Sparkle and Dreams came to life?
I’ve always loved hosting and throwing parties; whether it’s a get-together for the girls or throwing a birthday party for the kids! The concept of slumber parties is something that will or should never go away. I’ve always loved attending slumber parties as a little girl, so bringing that memory back to life by setting up an unforgettable, themed events for kids was a no-brainer for me. The A-Frame tents are a unique way for kids to celebrate a slumber party with their own personalized, cozy tent, decorations and memories that will last forever!! And I have to give a shout-out to my husband for hand making all the A-Frame Tents! I literally couldn’t’ do this without him!
What are the different Sparkle and Dreams slumber party themes? Which theme is your favorite?
“If you can dream it, we can theme it!” That is currently my motto. So far, our themes are “Camp Life”, “Rainbows & Unicorns”, “Enchanted Garden”, “Troop Beverly Hills Birthday Girl”, “Totally TieDye”, “Ghouls Night Halloween”, “Sugar!”, “Paris”, “Game Time”, “Flamingle” just to name a few!! I love working with parents to dream up a theme that their children will love. My favorite so far has to be the Enchanted Garden. It’s whimsical, girly, and full of florals and lace!
Which one of your adorable party add on’s do the kids like the best?
The personalized sleep eye covers are always a hit! I also offer a “Spa Night”, “Movie Night”, marquee letters/numbers, & balloon decorations to enhance any event!
What piece of advice would you give to another Mom who wants to pursue their small business dream?
DO IT!!! Everything is a learning experience; from running a business, to being a mom, to being a wife. The point is, never stop learning. Life is too short to let your dreams slip away. If you have an idea, run with it! You never know where it can take you 😊
