What made you decide that you wanted to be a Doctor? What type of Medicine do you practice?
After college, I had an emergency appendectomy and a Reiki master resolved all my post-operative pain. Within days, I had decided to enter into a career of medicine. I practice family medicine with a focus on fostering the body’s inherent ability to heal from within.
How do you balance being a top-notch Doctor and being an amazing mom of 3 boys?
One of my core values in my company, Restoration Healthcare, is Rhythm. We believe in mind, body, spirit and work-life choice because making the right choices at the right time keeps us nourished and grounded. I have found that trying to achieve balance is an impossible task and finding a rhythm turns down the volume of my internal judge.

You grew up in Illinois, what made you decide to raise your family here in South OC?
My husband grew up on Balboa Island and experiencing life with his family was the major draw for us to choose South OC. Moving from Maine to California has been a drastic change and after five years, we are feeling settled in.
What is your Favorite family activity in South Orange County?
I love going down to Dana Point Harbor and grilling & laughing with friends and family off the back of our boat. With the gentle breeze, the sun glittering off the water, my husband grilling, and the kids playing on the paddleboards, it is a rejuvenating way to fill my tank with people fuel!
Where is your favorite place to go camping with your children?
Leaping Lizards Campground in Ocatillo Wells has been our President’s Day weekend camp spot for the past two years. With three active sons, I feel most connected when we are exploring nature. With 80,000 acres of magnificent desert for off-roading in ATVs, Ocatillo Wells offers days of exciting play.
