Want to show your kids some snow this winter? Want to get outside? Want to be safe, but not sure where to go? Who wants to go tubing in Big Bear?
Head up to Big Bear and check out their local tubing options for the whole family. Our family went to the Snow Drift tubing park and had an absolute blast. The kids loved playing in the snow and flying down the mountain for an hour an a half.
At Snowdrift tubing park it is $20 an hour per person to enjoy the tubing park. It is also $10 to park in their parking lot. Additionally you will be required to sign a waiver. So be sure to download it from their website prior to going, so that you don’t have to complete any paper work upon your arrival. Lastly, they only accept cash, so be sure to have plenty of cash on hand prior to arriving.
Reminders:
* Don’t forget to bring chains with you, if you don’t have four wheel drive and snow tires. We saw LOTS of families having to stop and put on chains. Some didn’t have them and had to purchase them mid way up the mountain for $40.
* Be sure to use the restroom before you all head out. The tubing park does have a few porta pottys for you to use while you are in the park.
* Pack plenty of water and a snack lunch. They will let you leave the park for 15 min(in addition to your hour rental time) to go out to our car to grab some snacks and water. We had a picnic lunch out of the back of our car after we were done tubing.
* No dogs are allowed within the park. I did see a lot of dogs in cars and people walking them around the parking lot.
* Don’t forget your ski clothes(beanie, ski pants, ski gloves and jacket) before heading out into the tubing park. Be sure to check the weather before you head up to Big Bear.

Disclaimer: We did see the park sanitizing the tubes with a spray. I didn’t see them doing it in-between each use, but they were trying their best to keep up with the tubes being returned prior to going back out for usage.
