We recently had the opportunity to see Jurassic Quest at the Orange County Fair Ground. A drive-thru experience that takes you through all the different types of dinosaurs that roamed the earth. There are 70 different dinosaurs on display to wow both you and your children. They had huge dinosaurs, tiny dinosaurs. dinosaurs that fly and the ever freighting megalodon.
Once you arrive at the Orange County Fair grounds be sure to have your tickets handy. They will scan your tickets and provide you with a QR code that you can scan to hear audio of the guided dinosaur tour. I highly suggest listening to the audio so that you can hear all of the historical facts about the different dinosaurs.
As you wind around the parking lot you will see all sorts of life size, animatronic installations of dinosaurs in the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods from all around the world.. Depending on the lane you choose either the passenger side or driver side will be facing the dinosaurs the majority of the time. It took us an hour and 15 minutes to get through the entire experience. I don’t know if this is an average amount of time, as we were there on a Friday night and it was packed. To be honest I really liked being there at night, as the lighting really made the dinosaurs come to life. Towards the end of the experience you will have an opportunity to purchase souvenirs and the staff will also take a photo of you in your car with a dinosaur backdrop. They will provide you with a URL link to download your photo as well.
If you are looking for something engaging and educational, I highly suggest taking your kids to see Jurassic Quest. This is a traveling drive-thru experience and can be enjoyed all over the US. Jurassic Quest will be at the Orange County Fair Grounds until February 14th. They are closed Monday and Tuesdays. The remainder of the week they are open from 9 to 8pm.
