Have you heard of the AirBnB for pools yet? Well if you haven’t, you need to read on and learn how you too can rent your dream backyard oasis with Swimply at the tab of a finger.
Swimply was founded in 2018 by Asher Weinberg and Bunim Laskin. The duo launched a one-of-a-kind website, focused on backyard pool sharing solutions for the everyday person. A way for those of us without pools to cool off in the summer months. Or host a pool party with your friends, like we did. Or maybe you have a beautiful backyard with an amazing pool, you too can get it on the fun by listing your pool for hourly fun.
If you are looking to host your child’s birthday party, a Mom’s Day off or just want to take your family for a dip in the pool, all you have to do is head over to the Swimply app. You can search by city & event date and then you can begin scrolling through the different options in your area. Each listing is priced by the hour and the price is determined by the nature of use and the quality of the swimming pool. To give you an example a regular sized swimming pool usually costs around $40 but a pool with breathtaking views or additional facilities could be priced up to $300.
If you want to list your swimming pool on the Swimply app, they will conduct a hygiene and safety check on your pool. In addition, Swimply requires pool owners to provide outdoor toilets for visitors or at least have clear directions to a toilet inside the house. The pool that we rented for our end of summer pool party had a porta-potty in the driveway.
Our experience with our Swimply pool was absolutely fantastic. The pool and the pool area were all very clean and well kept. The hosts, left a wifi code sign up for all of us to use during our party as well as a trash can for trash and recyclables. I would highly recommend this service for people looking to have a pool party and those folks looking to make some extra cash on the side by renting out their own pool. Not to mention Swimply is expanding this great idea to sport courts & large backyards to home gyms and music studios. Sounds like we are going to be seeing a lot more of Swimply in the near future.
