Our amazing KelpFest design this year was created by David Maciel, a student at the Laguna Beach College of Art and Design:
“Growing up in Santa Ana, I developed an early love for art and design through their ability to communicate beyond words. I’m currently studying graphic design at Laguna College of Art and Design. For the Kelp Fest poster, I drew inspiration from Henri Matisse’s Jazz series, exploring how the organic forms of kelp could be abstracted through bold colors, lively shapes, and a playful composition.”
