CROSSBODY BAGS, CROSSBODY BAGS, CROSSBODY BAGS
In terms of a stylish #momhack, it doesn’t get much better than a great cross-body bag in a wear-with-anything neutral color. “Regardless of whether you’re chasing after and holding little kids or just carrying all the snacks/art projects/random rocks etc. they find, you need both your hands at pretty much all times,” says The Local Network Fashion Contributor Kristen Koch, editor-in-chief of Seventeen magazine and founder of Closetful of Clothes.
The Lululemon belt bag continues to be a cult classic, and Kristin says it’s a go-to for when she’s traveling or at home. “These are so popular because they’re super lightweight and made of nylon that’s easy to clean. They’re great for running around because they’re not hanging off of you but across your chest, so I love them for taking the kids to the playground, sports and activities, and amusement parks and fairs.”
For beyond the playground, Kristin turns to more structured, ladylike styles that still leave her hands free. She says “These are inspired by the designer bags like the Celine Triomphe and the classic quilted Chanel flap bag. You can find them at every price range and are great with jeans, dresses… you name it!”
Below, she shares six of her favorites.
