The long awaited arrival of Bottega Angelina is finally here and opening up in Laguna Niguel’s Ocean Ranch Village on November 3rd. I drove by this building many times during the pandemic awaiting the news of an opening date and it has finally arrived. Get ready South OC to finally enjoy Italian food that tastes like you are actually in Italy, while enjoying stunning views of the pacific ocean.
The Owners Shokoufeh and Filippo Fusco have completely redone the 10,000 square foot space with the help from Kelly Architects and Shawmut Design and Construction. This gorgeous restaurant is located at 32441 Golden Lantern, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677. The space in total is 7,000 sq ft, which includes the mercato, bar and ristorante for both indoor and outdoor seating. The on-site cafe and marketplace is not to be missed nor overlooked. They have retail items directly from Italy, coffee drinks, and takeaway goods like pastries and gelato. I promise this will be our new afterschool treat, because who doesn’t love real deal gelato.
Reservations will be found on resy and I highly suggest making them quickly, because it is going to be tough to get a seat in this soon to be hot spot. During your visit be sure to take note of all the fine details throughout the restaurant. From the 4,000 individual brass tubes hanging from the ceiling, to lovely custom mosaic pieces throughout the space. You can watch your pizza being made before your eyes in their custom pizza oven from Naples. Definitely skip your go-to drink during your visit, as they have really put some inventive spins on many classic cocktails. The Fresco with vodka, cucumber, lemon and bianco vermouth cocktail was my favorite and I can’t wait to come back to enjoy it again and again, while watching the beautiful South OC sunset.
