Amazing Parks in South Orange County - South OC Moms

Check Out All of These Amazing Parks Right in South OC

It is finally getting warmer around these parts and it’s time to head outside and check out some wonderful parks in the area. I have some special ones to share with you all and for all sorts of different reasons. Make a Saturday out of it and try and hit them all up. Between feedings, naps and lunch that is. But I know you can pull it off!!

Grand Park in Aliso Viejo – City Lights Dr, Aliso Viejo
This is one of my favorites, mainly because I love a park with a gorgeous view. It is for younger children, but my older children still love it when I surprise them and take them to this park. It is also a GREAT spot to stop and have a picnic. There are tables and a grass area to enjoy while you eat with a view.

Dinosaur Park in Laguna Hills – 25555 Alicia Pkwy, Laguna Hills
What kid isn’t going to love seeing dinosaur fossils, while they run around a highly entertaining park. This one is for kids of all ages. There is so much to climb on, dig in, explore and slide down. My kids can spend hours at this park. If you haven’t been yet, it is a must see. Not to mention some of the fossils at this park are real and replicas. Can you find the real ones?

Aliso Creek Beach Park – 31131 S Pacific Coast Hwy, Laguna Beach
Ok ok, this one is pretty amazing too. A park at the beach is a win win. Our family will go from the beach to the park and back all day long. This park is for all ages and never gets old. They even have swings, which you tend not to find a whole lot of these days. Not so bad pushing my daughter on the swing, when you can stare at the lovely ocean at the same time.

Los Rios Park – Paseo Adelanto Street / Ramos Street, San Juan Capistrano
Lots of space to run around at this western cowboy themed park and it’s perfect for all ages. Lots of picnic tables to utilize, as well as bathrooms!!! The proximity of this park to all the great attractions in downtown San Juan, make this park a must see. Or at least a quick enjoy on the way to or the way home from an event in San Juan.

The Backyard Park – Rancho Mission Viejo
This newer park amongst the list is getting quite the attention. I have friends that started sending me pictures from this park the moment it opened. A long swing to ride, amazing climbing structures(American Ninja Warrior Style) and this turf hill that kids slide down. Kids bring card board, to basically surf down this hill. This park is no doubt a highlight for kids of all ages.
